Should have bought one years ago. I have a 2017 GMC Canyon Diesel I have had since 2018. It had terrible lag in acceleration. I purchased a $1,200 tuner. Helped some but still not happy with performance. Previously had a 2000 F250 with a 7.3 and the tune was day and night difference, so I expected the same with my Canyon, did not get it. I decided to try a Peddle Commander. It did not disappoint. That was the difference I was expecting! I removed the tunes and set the truck back to factory with only the Peddle Commander. Could have saved myself $900.

Our first trip with our 21 GMC Canyon with the 2.8 Duramax pulling our 12 foot camper. We left Arizona on July 10th and we pulled into Great Falls, MT last evening the 28th. Was curious how this little diesel would do pulling this camper through the mountains. We stopped for a visit with our youngest son and his family in Oklahoma City. They have a Ram 2500 Cummins. I needed to go to a hardware store and our truck was still hooked to our camper, so I borrowed their truck. I was shocked of the performance of their truck. When I returned, I asked my son what he did to his truck. I didn’t notice it, but he pointed out the Pedal Commander and said that’s the only thing he did. Since we were going to my mother’s place in Iowa a week later I ordered one and had it delivered to her address. When we arrived at her place the package was there. I installed the Pedal Commander which only took about 15 minutes. OMG!! What a change. It felt like the HP and Torque was doubled. Towing the camper it’s amazing difference in performance. When we return to our home sometime in August I’m going to order a Pedal Commander for our GMC 2500 Duramax.

It does as it is advertised in the pedal response. The city mode works for me as the main setting so far. I fave not used the Eco mode but it was not what I wanted for highway and interstate driving. I’m still trying to get it adjusted to my Canyon.

This is my third pedal commander. And as usual it works great! Bought a new 24 gmc canyon at4. Great truck! But, "Throttle Lag"! After about two weeks I ordered a Pedal Commander knowing it would make a big difference in Throttle response! And it did! Truck Throttle response is where it should be! Since I have owned 2 previous PC for 2 different makes, an F150, and a Jeep, I keep the setting at Sport 2 setting and that's the setting it stays at. Pedal Commanders work great! And will continue to buy them!

We bought a 2024 GMC Canyon with the 2.7 turbo 4 cylinder and from the factory has such a lag on acceleration that we almost gave up on it until I tried the pedal commander and what a difference, now the truck is super responsive and fun to drive. It really is a difference maker.

If owned this truck 6 years. Im truly amazed at how it has woken up this truck. Its had the typical throttle lag from day one. It is totally GONE! Plus the acceleration up to highway speed is more spirited. The only improvement I might suggest is to make more steps between the lowest 2 eco settings and the bottom 2 city settings. Great product.

Completely different truck. No more dead pedal, no more lag. I waited way too long to pick this up. Install took 15 minutes and 30 seconds. 15 minutes of leaving the driver door open to shut down the ECM, 30 seconds to install the PC. Sensitivity is controlled through the entire range, not just stop and go. Worth the money.

I have a 2021 gmc canyon truck V6 with a Edelbrock supercharger pedal Commander made it wake up it's fantastic I would recommend it to anybody the only thing I wish is that you could order them over the phone I'm old school thanks it's a custom truck

Wow, coming from the motorcycle world I am very familiar with throttle mapping. Motorcycle manufacturers have offered “ride modes” which are nothing more than throttle maps for years now. Rain mode, sport mode, touring mode…all which offer throttle maps suited for your riding style or weather conditions….you don’t want a direct throttle on a bike if it’s slick and wet out, so rain mode will dumb down the throttle sensitivity. Pedal commander basically works the same…and the change it made to my Canyon is dramatic. I test drove a Nissan Frontier before purchasing the Canyon which has a comparable V6 but it felt much stronger off the line with the same HP and torque numbers the Canyon has. The PC let’s you set the throttle map to your liking…now my Canyon accelerates like it should have from the factory. I take meticulous care of my vehicles and the last thing I want to do is dog my new truck out….I have left the PC in City mode +1 and it’s absolutely perfect, a profound difference without being touchy. The throttle modulates smoothly but the power is there when you want it. No more mashing the accelerator just to pull out in traffic, it feels effortless. This is a must have mod for any Colorado or Canyon owner, it will transform your truck….forget cold air intakes and exhaust systems which offer very little in the way of performance gains…it’s a V6, spend less on a PC and you’ll be incredibly happy with the performance of your truck. As far as gas mileage goes, obviously if your on the gas more it’s gonna drink more gas…..drive smoothly and fight the urge to hammer it and you’ll get comparable mileage to stock….might lose an MPG or two with normal driving, but it is oh so worth it! Stop reading reviews and just get one!

Great little gadget!! Definitely wakes up the response time of the throttle. I would recommend this item to every GMC canyon owner or any other vehicle with fly by wire acceleration!

I’m finally able to get the truck to move! Have it in city plus 4 and I’m getting better gas mileage by being able to use the throttle much better , Don’t have to push the pedal to the floor to get the thing out of its own way. GM should have set this up this way from factory and I do believe they could boast best gas mileage on any other truck, I have went from 17 around town to 20.3 average I only have about two hundred miles since install but I didn’t buy it to run the piss out of the truck just wanted better throttle response and it gave me what I paid for, worth the money!! Any one with canyon or Colorado 3.6 you’ll love it!!

Completely changed the personality of my 2016 Canyon All Terrain. Seems more powerful and sure footed. Even given the different throttle profile it made my transmission seem more certain as to what gear it wants. I'm only worried that it will always be in Sport + with +4 .

I do not see a reason for a economy mode when your vehicle is set up for economy from the factory. Other than that happy with the unit works as advertised a little chunky in size though

Horrible for gas mileage it's like your flooring it off the line every time you barely touch the gas pedal. Had to back it down so far it might as well just take it off so I returned it.

Installed in a 2016 GMC Canyon, v-6. Gas pedal seemed to have a dead spot. Had to depress the pedal to get it to react. The pedal commander to the lag time out. Now pressing the gas pedal give instant results. If you want better drivability in you truck or car, it really works good. Drives like the old cars with direct linkage. Well worth the money.
